The animation video revealed the first new song from Iron Maiden. "Writing on the wall."

Just a few hours ago, I wrote an article before the premiere. I was a little different. Although I had other thoughts with questions. The title (writing on the wall) made me think differently.



Because of the poster, I kind of thought it might be Mr. Dickinson's Solo Album. Because I wasn't used from Iron Maiden for this new poster. I also thought it looked a little different and easy. Another font tore me a little. I didn't see Eddie on this poster. That's what made me think of Solo Album.


But then today's premiere brought me back to reality. And she showed the dexterity of several fans.





Which guessed right, so it's now well on its way. I can't find the right words for this great animation video (or for a movie). It literally caught me and I didn't breathe. :) As we learned in the video, Bruce Dickinson himself collaborated. And they chose the London animation studio BlinkInk. More about it on the official website (ironmaiden.com).



Whatever this video can be called, animated, comic, movie. It really works with Eddie. It reminds me of a lot of things, not only from Iron Maiden but also a little bit from my childhood. At that time in the '90s in my country (Slovakia) it was very difficult to get a home computer (yes, exactly the white or gray one with a monitor, a keyboard, and a button on/ off). You know there weren't laptops back then. I could have been 8 or 9 years old at the time, I got a computer. It was very difficult for the father to obtain permission to use it.


As the years went by, I had one game called: Aztec The Curse In The Heart Of The City Of Gold (PC Game). I mentioned this today at the beginning of this video. When I played the game, there was also an introductory intro video of the sun and the birds (probably it was an eagle).


Today I said to myself, "Wow, it took me back many years."



This official picture, confirmed to me that it will be an Album (by Maiden). And not Mr. Dickinson's Solo album, as I thought. But you already know that. I wrote about it several times today. When I see the right font style and sophistication of the image, then everything is fine now. It's in place. And now it makes the right sense and understanding.


Song: Writing on the Wall (written by Smith and Dickinson). And now I'm going back to the video.




After the tired pilgrim falls to the ground, a mysterious man finds him (we know it's Eddie) and grabs his forehead to see if he's hot or not. . Then the video continues with a fast ride on motorcycles. I'm not sure if it's a type of motorcycle chopper. But that's not important now. The rides have a slightly tattered stylish coat, something in between like an assassin's creed knight or death. That motorcycle riders coat is great. I'm sure it must be horrible at night. So the normal person would be frightened immediately.



The destroyed plane can also be seen in the video. Two things came to my mind. First: various deserted places in the desert with non-flying planes that are like a cemetery. And the second, the film: Felix's Flight. Then in the video, there are apocalypse clouds, here you can see (Golden Gate Bridge) from San Francisco. Which disappeared somewhere in time and is destroyed by a bridge. I'm not sure if I see correctly, from the sand you can see Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben) and then see the flag of Great Britain.



The court with warned that it was toxic. This is a reference to saving nature. We should do something. The king of the scorpion also appeared. Not to forget the motorcycles have some Roman numerals. I have no idea what it may be. Damaged pipes (probable oil flowed there). A funny scene where a horse has to pull a presidential car. The reason is simple. The car lost gas. It has only front wheels. And at the back, instead of wheels, has a tank belt. They probably wanted to create a car for the president that could work in any weather. For example, in winter uphill. So the American president could have a car just in case. It looks very funny here in the video.


I could imagine a lot of things with the presidential car in the video. For example, it could be tuning and have wings. But then the president would be like Santa Clause. I'm sorry, but I got a little carried away with my imagination.



We have a long crowd behind the presidential car. An astronaut or cosmonaut survived the last flight and appeared in the American desert. Eddie follows him in various forms. Next, three English gentlemen walk. And they bring some tea and cake. But it will probably not be a classic tea. It may be bloody tea. And then they have their clothes torn. It can be seen that they are wearing short underwear with a flag. Except they don't have empty hands. So they are busy holding a cup, suitcase, or umbrella in their hands. So it will be serious travelers.


An old tired monk from some unnamed monastery in sweatshirts. Maybe it's from Tibet and with other people from Asia and Russia pulling a golden dragon. There is a rocket in his mouth. A general is sitting on the throne. They watch them on motorcycles. They stand on a rock like a wolfs. Pedestrians walk to the castle.


In another article, I said that the castle looks a bit like Frankenstein's castle. But then I was forced to think. It could also be a castle from the movie: The Lord of the Rings and two towers. Or from the movie: an endless story. Or some from fantasy. So it looks masterful.


It's so great done that you want to see it again.



There is a party in the castle. But not everyone gets there. Because I didn't see Eddie on the poster. So I thought he could be in the castle. And it really happened. Eddie is connected to some devices and is recharging his energy. While the horse and the president get to the party. But zombie not. He is killed by a laser and he turns to ash or dust. Then Moses with a stick bangs on the desert (just like in that biblical story). The soldiers are trying to stop Moses. But he has magic with super power.


Moses managed to get to the castle. The party may end, but it's getting very hot. Because it starts about fighting. Eddie appears in a Japanese samurai to throw a man with horns on the wall. Then the riders on the motorcycles will appear. The video turns into great action. We'll see Eddie again in various forms. Like, a killer with an ax, (which is the second album from 1981). Then Eddie has a big scythe (link to the thirteenth album from 2003, dance of death). Another is Eddie with red-eye as a cyborg (a reference to the sixth album from 1986, Somewhere In Time). Eddie as the pharaoh of Egypt. Where in the biblical story Egypt was hit by the flying locust's apocalypse (mention the fifth album from 1984, Powerslave). As a Japanese samurai, Eddie rescues two elects of two sexes. And I offer them an apple (which is a reference to an ancient story about Adam as the first man and Eve as the first woman). But in that case, it's a little different. Eva doesn't give Adam an apple here. But Adam gives an apple to Eve.


The video ends with a romantic kiss. Everyone is happy sitting in the president's car. And bikers on motorcycles are close to them like personal bodyguards. And the video ended with a big atomic explosion and with a big bang (which can be one reference to the end of the world and the other the arrival of the savior).


The video will fulfill the link biblical stories, the characters. But it's up to Daniel's book. He foretold several apocalypses before Christ.



The video has a strong story, there is everything from and to z. They put a lot of work into it. And the result is stunning and impressive. The music is refreshing. It reminds me of various comics. But this video comic is probably the largest in the world I've ever seen. The world will love this video for a very long time. It turned out very great now.



Thanking gets all, who creating this video. Because they knew what the animated world should look like. The director was a man who really understood that. A video editor or video graphic designer, he made it so handy that he was able to attract the viewer's eye.


Finally, I give a question. There is a song called: Writing on the Wall (as a single hit?). Probably definitely yes. I'll see even more when Maiden's whole new album is on sale.
