Could we hear and see this masterpiece live?.... This question has been on my head several times. But I forgot about it. However, today, during virtual challenges, outside in the city or in nature, I got this question again. And it today. So why not make an article about it, though? :)
It's been four years (2016) when the band Iron Maiden released a new album: The Book of Souls.
The song was written by the great master and genius singer Bruce Dickinson himself.
He will not deal with all the songs. But only this. That's when I finished listening to their new album. And I was very out. I can't say if I was surprised. Because I could lie and I don't want to. I can't even do that. Simply put, I had a wave of a lot of emotion. Maybe everyone as a fan said something like: Wow! ... Maybe I did it too. But you know, it's a very weak word - Wow for this album.
I had a lot of words inside my soul.
I thought about a billion words then. Which I couldn't say at once. It's one of the best albums in a very long time. If anyone disagrees with me, that's fine. Then at least it's a good album. Which was even made.
The new Eddie as a Mayan Indian looked very good. The background is very black - dark. So then I didn't deal with CD anymore. Because then was anything.
So I gave the CD to a computer very quickly.
The last song ended and in a few hours, I say: wait it sounds like Maiden but this song is different. It sounds a bit like an orchestra and a piece of every genre. (such a mix of rock, blues and metal).
The beginning of the music sounds like a fairy tale for a good night. I joked.
Slowly it picked up its pace until it accelerated. The music sounds really good and Mr Dickinson's singing sounds even better as anywhere than before. Until then, I also imagined that Bruce was the principal of the metal circus. There is a large stand with a large stage. Where can go as many people as possible. There are a lot of instruments and there is a spectacular show.
The text is also good. But they had to play with the music for a very long time and experiment a lot. Otherwise, this song couldn't be as great as it is really great. Anyway, the studio must have looked like this: Hey, shall we not try this tool? How about this one ?. And what about the piano ?. (it must have been the secret force that Bruce could sit down to the piano). But no one lost courage. And they went with great passion and heart. All members of the Iron Maiden were as unstoppable. And the great effort and hard work paid off.
Could / will this song ever be represented live ?.
Why couldn't she? The answer is easy. You don't have to mind long music. So it is nothing wrong with music if it has 18 minutes. It is very difficult to imagine that this song would be somewhere in the middle of the show. The beginning of the song starts at such a slow tempo. But she sounds nice. This song would probably have to be as the first.
Maybe we could see Bruce live at the piano. I imagine two things in the introduction.
First: Bruce comes on stage and wears a costume. When he sits at the piano, then Bruce shows his face and that's when the show begins.
Second: Or we'll see the stage as Bruce and the piano go from bottom to top on the stage. Bruce is sitting in front of him holding a piano and being pushed slowly up on the stage. Then the show starts.
If we take into account the 18 minutes of this song. Probably the first introduction would be very fast. Since this would be the only song to be the first to start. And then Bruce's speech would follow. And there would be more songs. It could have been an interesting start to the concert. But the question is whether the show would be in almost 2 hours. Or it would take almost 2 hours and 50 minutes. which is probably impossible. Each concert lasts about 1 hour and 50 minutes.
It's hard to say if members would choose this song. But probably not. We may not see her live at all. I think this song is in the album what a bonus for us as for fans. It's a thank from Bruce to us. Bruce didn't want it to be forgotten for its great history. Where people were able to create great things at another time and in a different mode. This song also belongs to a history lesson.
