Writer's pictureWe are together fans of IronMaiden

My view of the occurrence of band IM.

Together we look at it in short. About the formation of the IM group. But there is no article devoted to the whole history of the IM group. But the article will be about my perspective. As I see it firsthand. There will also be my consideration. With such a style that what I think about it.

Iron Maiden is a British heavy metal band with around 100 million albums worldwide. They use the proven double-guitar sound used mainly by Judas Priest in the 1970s and their music has influenced many giants such as Metallic or Red Hot Chili Peppers.

1. What is my view of the formation of the group ?.

Andrew Pôbiš: Today we know the history of the IM group. Thanks to the Internet and also thanks to DVD bonuses. Which Iron Maiden group doing. Steve Harris wanted bice. But he didn't have much room in the house. So he bought the first guitar. (a copy of Telecaster bass for 40 pounds.) And he was in the group Smiler. Steve had a big vision for new lyrics. His lyrics were very complicated for Smiler. They say something like,

"Steve, I'm sorry. We won't it play. Your lyrics are really good. You're a good player in our group. But these lyrics are complicated".

Steve certainly felt he wanted something new. Make it. The only chance was possible.

And it meant forgiving the band Smiler. Stave had a bold heart. He left the old band.

The name of the new band Steve had many names. Finally, the choice of name become Iron Maiden. Steve Harris, after leaving Smiler, started to create a new band.

He called her "Iron Maiden", a medieval torture instrument. He got inspiration from the movie "Man with an Iron Mask." Steve's friend and guitar player Dave Murray also joined the band.

AP: From my perspective. That was a good decision. Now I can say that. But you couldn't say that at the time. Because at that time you were just at the beginning on your way to the goal of your dream. Even if you sometimes find yourself in such a situation.

" Really, I must gone from the old band?. Yes or no?". A lot of people can ask this question in the music scene. "Well, you never know in advance what can happen. But if you don't, you will never find out the answer to your question".

And Steve did it. He was brave, he believed it. He followed his dream. So Steve also sacrificed himself. And today it is there. Where he succeeded. And he followed it step by step.

Today we know that Iron Maiden was founded in 1975. The group played in various bars. It is said that the first concerts took place in the bar the East End.

After three years, Steve decided that the band should take a step forward and record their music. The band decided to record at Spaceward Studios in Cambridge after listening to a demonstration tape-recorded by former singer Dennis Wilcock, V1. Although it would be more expensive than recording in London, bassist Steve Harris remarks:

“We decided that doing it cheaply was a false economy. We knew we could just take it, and we wanted it. To sound the best. "

In 1978 they released more than 5,000 copies of The Soundhouse Tapes, featuring songs such as "Prowler", "Iron Maiden", "Strange World" and "Invasion". They were also noticed by manager Rod Smallwood. The band is finally signing a contract with EMI Records.

2. What do I think about the next step ?.

AP: "If as the main founder and member of the band you felt it was time to make the first album. (At that time, a demo tape). you need a demo or the first album. To do this you need to have a manager".

I don't know of any band. Which is without a manager. All bands in the world have a manager. This is how cooperation and a new direction begin on the way to a new success.

Then it is up to the circumstances. Whether you will do well. Or not. Yes, money is money and time. But it's not always about money. It doesn't matter small or big money. First of all, there must be trust in the group between the members, the manager and the contract. There must also be a friendly relationship. If this is not there and there will be quarrels or disagreements. Sometimes it may end at the end. But this bad case is not in the Iron Maiden story. even though the beginnings were difficult. But today, Iron Maiden is on a brilliant journey to continue their honest work for us as fans.

Sure, it also helped by Neal Kay. Which at that time he was like a DJ.

I think Neal Kay is a good man. I don't know about his past in his life. But I mean, he was different.

You know, put your song on the radio. There they say:

"Yes, the song is good. But we won't play it on the radio. We're sorry."

But Neal Kay had his own attitude at the time. He didn't always say no. Neal Kay said something like, "Okay, I'll listen to it. And then let it I go to others. We'll wait for other people's reaction. And see what happens."

Neal Kay before.

Neal Kay now.

Certainly, it deserving in old-time coming with the help of hands by Neal Kay. If it wasn't Neal Kay. Then it is hard to say how quickly the world would know Iron Maiden. But I think Neal Kay helped at the right time. And so the gradual world tried to get to know Iron Maiden. It was a start in the home country in England.

Neal Kay in Sam Dunn's documentary. He also talked about meeting with Steve Harris. Neal Kay: "Yes, I remember. Steve came to me and said something like":

Steve Harris: "Hey, buddy. Here's our demo tape. Please do us a favour.

Listen to it. And call us. We'd love to hear your opinion."

To save money, the band booked a session New Year's Eve Weekend 1978, (December 30/31) which cost them £ 200, and recorded four songs, "Prowler", "Invasion", "Strange World" and "Iron" Maiden ". Harris states, "We didn't know what to expect, going into the studio for the first time. We just hoped the engineer was going to be good enough to record us, and that was it. We just went in there with a naïve attitude and, as it happens, it was pretty good. The songs were very together already. We didn't have to arrange much. They were very tight, 'cause we were doing them all the time. It was just a question of whether we could record it all in time. But we went in and the tracks went down really quick. I think we did most of them in the first take. "

3. And what can I say on it?.

AP: "If I was born as a British citizen. At that time, and I would have been in England. If I was starting as a rock metalist in a band. If I had a problem getting lucky f a career. I would definitely go-to man with name Neal Kay".

Hard to say if I would think as Steve Harris. I think the meeting was fate and a decisive meeting of two men. Steve and Neal.

About the demo of the first recording of The Soundhouse Tapes...

AP: As Neal said, “ This demo the tape took to everyone's breath outside. Otherwise, with words, it I don't know to say .”

AP: "Those songs that were on the demo tape. They are added to official albums. A songs like Iron Maiden and Prowler. We know today it's in Album (Iron Maiden)".

And I didn't find the song Invasion in any official album from band Iron Maiden. In conclusion, I can say that the demo tape from that time is good. Show me some other band. That released a good tape in 1978. There is no other band in the world. Like Iron Maiden. Only Iron Maiden as the only band of that time made a good tape. Demo tape has up to 11 minutes and 28 seconds. In the old-time, it was a record. And that was just the beginning.

I do not cant to forget. With all due respect, Mr Neal Kay. Thank you very much for giving band Iron Maiden a chance. Thank you in name all fans, in today we can know Iron Maiden. So thank you for your great service. We'll never forget it.

4. Is EMI Music the best publishing?. If you had a band. Would you like to sign a contract with them ?.

EMI Music Publishing Ltd. is a multinational music publishing company headquartered in London, United Kingdom.

As of May 2018, EMI Music Publishing included the publishing rights to over 2.1 million songs. Its day-to-day operations, including the administration of songs, are delegated to Sony/ATV Music Publishing.

EMI Music Publishing was named Publisher of the Year by Music Week every year for over 10 years; in 2009, EMI tied with Universal Music Publishing for the award.

AP: "My answer is fast enough. Yes.

It doesn't matter where I am from. No matter what body colour I have.

If you are white, black, Asian, or whoever you are. If you have a band.

If the company was for me for the first time, I would have signed a contract with EMI without a doubt, it is one of the best musical productions in the UK.

If I was doing music in Slovakia. So I wouldn't release any CD album. For example: In France or Italy are good recording studio. Why?. Because I'm favourite these recording studios. I wrote now in here. If I had the lyrics for the first album So I would make a contact with EMI And other collaborations can be done again or with some other recording studio."

5. What do I think about Bruce Dickinson and about his joined Iron Maiden ?.

In 1981 the band Iron Maiden was forced to look for a new singer. Because their original singer was bad. He lost almost a report. Iron Maiden members were at the English festival. And they saw singer Bruce Dickinson with the band Samson. The manager said he liked the guy. (He meant about Bruce). Bruce Dickinson says in a music document:

“Yes, they were there. Yeah, they were there approved only for me. They wanted to bite off a piece of my glory. Yes, it wasn't nice. But it was so. "

And then he said, "I saw them play once in London. He knew that I should sing with them."

Iron Maiden had to make a new thing in the band and look for a new singer. Because Steve Harris knew if they didn't. So Iron Maiden could end.

Bruce Dickinson with the band Samson. Last time on 1981

AP: "When I saw him from the DVD called Rock in Rio. And he heard his voice. And I was only 13 / 14 year. I said it the same, what members before from IM. The man is a really great singer. So my recitation was similar. I'd definitely have a similar thing. Like them. If you feel that the singer is really good. So I would take him to the band. As it was in the case with Bruce."

To sum it up. So the members were looking for a singer. And them liked, Bruce as a singer. And Bruce knew he should sing with them.

AP: "Isn't that a little irony ?. Paradoxically, now one sentence occurred to me: Opposites attract."

It may not be about it. This is about fate. Members were attracted to Bruce´s sings. And Bruce was attracted by music from band IM.

AP: "I was a fan of I'm standing in 2005/06. I was 13/4 years old. And today it's been 15 years. And that's a long time. But I hardly knew the history of Iron Maiden at that time. I never thought to look at the information on the net. And why should I?. But I thought this band formation was this. I knew the band line is up in time. (Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers, and Nicko McBrain).

About the history of Iron Maiden. I got very late. I think when I went to high school. At that time I was about 18/19 years old. When I look at this photo. So I don't know almost anyone here. Only Steve Harris I know in here automatically. But old members. I will never remember."

Although today the Internet is full of history. My question will always be the same. Who are these old members from band IM?.

It's because I saw Iron Maiden on a DVD in another lineup (DVD, Rock In Rio, 2001). Which we all know very well today.

6. About return.

In 1999 it was great news for the world. Bruce Dickinson and another member of the band are back.

AP: I will forever remember this lineup of the band.

Iron Maiden in Rio, 2001

This report from pure clear and lightning sky. She was very well received with fans. And it triggered a big strong interest in tickets. In 2000, the band had a new album (Brave new world). Bruce wanted this album to be totally artistic. And was it great.

AP. " Really, I must gone from the old band?. Yes or no?". A lot of people can ask this question in the music scene. "Well, you never know in advance what can happen. But if you don't, you will never find out the answer to your question".

Brave New World is the twelfth studio album.

AP: "I personally call it a big comeback for the group. I think this album is already mature. And there are a lot of great songs. And the DVD got me. It's the best of that return to the music scene. What the band could offer. I think it's one of the best albums. Even Bruce says it was a good album at the time. And I just have to agree."

I will end this article with a sentence today. With which Bruce Dickinson answered once for one a magazine.

The journalist: "Have you ever been really tired ?."

Bruce Dickinson: "I think it was during the Brave New World Tour.

We were in Rio. And at the end of the concert, I was really tired."

I started writing this article yesterday afternoon. It was about half-past eleven. And now it is at half-past one. In the morning. So I'm tired too. If you got here. Thanks for paying attention. See you in a new article. Good night friends!.
