Today, we imagine a band ... Iron Maiden.

On introduction. I would just like to say that, the band Iron Maiden. She did not form with an easy way. The group was not formed day by day. It not. And the members came and left. Iron Maiden musted looking for a way for days, nights and months. Until she got a chance to be the band for world´s of the stage. Which we know today.

Steve Harris

Active: 1975–presentInstruments: bass, backing vocals, studio keyboards (1988, 1998–present)Release contributions: all Iron Maiden releasesHarris founded the band in December 1975 and is the group's only constant member.

Stephen Percy Harris or Steve Harris (March 12, 1956, Leytonstone, London) is a British musician, one of the founding members and former bass guitarist of Iron Maiden. Since the band's founding in 1975, he has been the only permanent member of the band, along with guitarist Murray, who has appeared on all his own and albums. Harris has a recognizable and popular style of playing on the bases, especially a "gallop" that can be found on several Iron Maiden recordings such as "Run to the Hills" and "The Trooper". In addition to his role as a bass guitarist, lyricist and backing vocalist, he has taken on many other roles in the group, such as producing and co-producing albums, managing and editing live videos, and performing studio keyboards and synthesizers. He is considered one of the best heavy metal bass guitarists.

Harris was born and raised in Leytonstone. He wanted to become a professional football player, and as a student, he played football for West Ham United F.C. After gaining interest in rock music in his early teens, he realized he no longer wanted to play football. At first, Steve wanted to play the drums, but he didn't have enough space in his house, so he decided to play bass. His first was a copy of the Fender Precision model which cost him 40 pounds in 1971.

Only 10 months after buying the first bass, Harris joined a band that was originally known as Influence and later Gypsy Kiss, with Bob Verscoyle, Dave Smith and drummer Paul Sears. After a few concerts at Cart and Horses at Maryland Point, Stratford and Bridgehouse in Canning Town, the band split up and Harris auditioned for Smiler in February 1974. Harris began writing his own songs and worked with future Iron Maiden members Dennis Wilcock and Doug Sampson, but left the group where they refused to play his material, claiming it was too complex.

He plays the bass guitar and is the author or co-author of most of the band's lyrics. He said about it shortly after the release of Virtual XI:

Steve Harris: “Yes, I often come up with some new songs I wrote myself - because that's my life. But I always try to encourage everyone to come up with something new. It would be very selfish to write everything all by myself. And having people like Paul Di'Anno and Adrian here in the past ... all of this helped the band musically direct and achieve real success together.

Harris worked as an architectural designer in East London until he was released. He then worked as a street sweeper. Harris's compositions have become more progressive, and guitarist Adrian Smith has said that Harris now prefers contributing "lyrics and melodies" of songs from other members overwriting itself.

Harris often writes texts on mythology, history or topics inspired by books and films that reflect his interests and progressive rock influences.

Solo project.

In September 2012 Harris released his first solo album, British Lion. Coming from a band called The British Lion with whom he managed and wrote in the early 1990s, Harris remained in touch with his singer Richard Taylor and guitarist Graham Leslie and the album of the 1970s influenced hard rock songs, they were written and recorded over the years around the Iron Maiden timetable. Speaking to Kerrang! In September 2012, Harris said he considered the recording to be "more of a side-project" than a solo album, as he is more "comfortable in a band environment."

In an interview with Classic Rock in August, Harris said he would release more single albums and hopes to tour with the band in the future. Harris took part in two separate tours of European clubs in 2013 and 2014 and another tour took place in 2016. Harris announced on 2 September 2016 that he intends to release a live album with a recording of three shows.

The British Lion announced in November 2019 that their second album, The Burning, would be released on January 17, 2020.

Personal life.

Harris' eldest daughter, Lauren, is a singer and supported Iron Maiden with her solo outfit in 2006 and 2008. In 2008, she released a solo album, entitled Calm Before the Storm, and is currently a member of a band called Kingdom of I after forming Six Hour Sundown.[34] In addition, Harris' oldest son, George, plays the guitar in a band, the Raven Age, who was the opening act on Iron Maiden's The Book Of Souls World Tour in 2016, and also in the Legacy of the beast tour 2019. His second-oldest daughter, Kerry, works as a Production Assistant for Iron Maiden while his third-oldest daughter, Faye, is a fashion writer for HuffPost.

In 1993, Harris was divorced from his wife, Lorraine, whom he met 16 years previously. He later said this was "probably the toughest time I've ever faced," and the changes in his personal life are credited with inspiring the mood of the following Iron Maiden album, 1995's The X Factor. Harris has four children with Lorraine: Lauren, Kerry, Faye and George, and two children with current partner Emma: Stanley and Maisie.

Since the 1980s, Harris has owned a Grade II listed building in Sheering Essex, in the grounds of which he built his own recording and editing studio, "Barnyard". In November 2012, the nine-acre property was put on sale, with a spokesman for his estate agent, Hamptons International, stating that "he now lives between Los Angeles and the Bahamas".

A keen footballer, Harris played for amateur clubs as a child and was later scouted by Wally St Pier and asked to train for West Ham United, of whom he has been a fan since he was 9 years old. Although he had aspired to play professionally up to that point, Harris would eventually realise that "it wasn't really what [he] wanted to do." Nevertheless, Harris still plays football regularly with his own team, "Maidonians", and still supports West Ham, staying in contact with the club and having their crest on his most-used Precision Bass.

Harris also plays tennis and is a photographer.

In short. How do I see Steve Harris ?.

AP: " He is a very creative, active and ambitious member of the group. He is also very diligent, hardworking and responsible. In her work, she comes very confidently and hard. He's loyal to his group. Even if he's a celebrity. He is very aware of this. He tries to stay his feet on the ground. And to remain a normal person. Even if he has access benefits as a celebrity. And always he tries to be well-tuned."

Dave Murray

Active: 1976–1977, 1978–present

Instruments: lead and rhythm guitars

Release contributions: all Iron Maiden releases

After Harris expressed his dissatisfaction with the abilities of then guitarists Sullivan and Rance, Murray auditioned for the band in late 1976 at the suggestion of then vocalist Wilcock Following Rance and Sullivan's departure in December 1976, Murray joined the band for six months until he was sacked following an argument with Wilcock.

Six months later, Wilcock left the band and Murray was immediately reinstated and has remained with the band ever since.

Dave Michael Murray (December 23, 1956, London, United Kingdom) is a guitarist for the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, which he joined only two months after its founding. In addition to playing the guitar, he is also the author of music and lyrics. He plays on Fender Stratocaster.

He is known for his fast solos and is considered one of the best guitarists in the world. As one of the few is not fooled and is very modest. His modesty made him grow up in a very poor Scottish-Irish family as a child.

The Murray family lived in poverty and moved in different neighbourhoods of London, meaning that they were being bullied and involved in various conflicts. How small he played football and cricket. In 1970 his family settled in Clapton, and Murray joined the Skinheads gang and spent a lot of time on the street. He became interested in music at the age of 15 when he heard "Voodoo Child" by Jimi Hendrix on the radio. His mother bought him his first guitar - it was made of bare wood, his fingers were bleeding from the strings. The first solid guitar he had was Woolworth Top 20. This guitar was later bought by his friend Adrian Smith. With him, he played in his first band Stone Free, where Adrian sang. It was Dave who led Adrian to play the guitar. Since then, Dave has played in many bands until he met Steve Harris of Iron Maiden in 1975, to which he joined. Shortly afterwards, after disagreements with then-singer Dennis Wilcock, Iron Maiden left and joined again with Adrian Smith and his band Urchin. Then he recorded with them a single called "Black Leather Fantasy". After the single Dave left the band Urchin and returned to Iron Maiden from where the singer Wilcock left.

Murray's guitar style throughout his career has been based mainly on the legato technique, such as the single "The Trooper". He wrote songs for the band although he was not resourceful like other band members. He was usually forced to write lyrics and concentrate on composing. He often works with other members of Iron Maiden.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How do I personally see Dave Murray ?.

AP: "I think today is even more modest to self. And that makes him a friendly celebrity. He couldn't hurt a fly either. Not. Never. And he's not looking for any quarrels. And that makes him a great person.

He is a good and faithful member of band Iron Maiden. He also works great, helps. He knows to say his opinion. He can always take advantage of the situation in bad times. If it is difficult, then Dave tells his opinion. Which then kicks the band forward. And that makes the band strong."

Nicko McBrain

Active: 1982–present

Instruments: drums, percussion

Release contributions: all Iron Maiden releases from Piece of Mind (1983) to present

McBrain became friends with Iron Maiden when his previous band, Trust, supported them in 1981. When Burr was sacked in late 1982, McBrain was immediately invited to join the group.

Nicko McBrain ( June 5, 1952, Hackney, London) is an English musician who currently acts as a drummer for the heavy metal band Iron Maiden.

He began his career in the 1970s when he played in the band of Canadian musician Pat Travers. In 1975 and 1976 he played in the group Streetwalkers. In the early 1980s, he played in the McKitty band, and just during the band's concert, he met Steve Harris, founder of Iron Maiden. He joined the band in 1982 when he replaced Clive Burra. His first album on drums was Piece of Mind from 1983. He is a member of the band to this day.

What do I want to say about Nicko McBrain ?.

AP: "Nicko McBrain is on the live stage the most important person during the performance. As a drummer, he keeps the band together, in tempo and rhythm. If something breaks the drummer in sound during the song. So then it is seen or heard. The fans will notice. If the drum does not play properly or forgot how to drum. Then the whole band will play a concert bad. So Nicko always takes great care when starting to playing.

Even Nicko is a celebrity, sure. However, he is a very great drummer. The humorist, and comedian at the meeting. He knows always bring a lot of fun and laughter. He also speaks very interestingly. I think Nicko could also write some comedy movie on TV. Who knows. May it suddenly happen.

He knows it to say everything in a humorous way. Or describe the situation with humour. He also uses metaphor. His most common word is: The hawk".

Nicko: "Be busy like a hawk. And watch page Iron Maiden.com. "

Yes, I know not everyone can take it as a funny word. But the metaphor is definitely there. Nicko wanted to say that we need to watch the site carefully. And there maybe there something new.

Adrian Smith

Active: 1980–1990, 1999–present

Instruments: lead and rhythm guitars, backing vocals, studio keyboards (1988)

Release contributions: all Iron Maiden releases from Killers (1981) to Maiden England (1989), then from Brave New World (2000) to present

The childhood friend of Murray,[18] Smith was originally asked to join the band in 1979 when the band were on the verge of signing with EMI but turned them down to continue with his own band, Urchin. A year later, Urchin split up and Smith joined Iron Maiden in November 1980. Smith agreed to leave Iron Maiden in 1990 as he did not approve of the direction the band were aiming for on their next album, No Prayer for the Dying. After a nine-year absence, during which he formed his own band, Psycho Motel, and joined Dickinson's solo outfit, Smith was asked to rejoin Iron Maiden in 1999.

Adrian Frederick Smith (February 27, 1957, Hackney, London) is an Iron Maiden guitarist. In some songs, Smith sings and some also composed. Since 1981, he has been a member of the band when he replaced guitarist Dennis Stratton in recording the Killers album. In 1990, he decided to leave the band and set out on a solo career, but he was back from recording the Brave New World.

Adrian has written songs like "Wasted Years", "Stranger In a Strange Land" and co-authored hits like "2 Minutes to Midnight", "The Wicker Man" or "Different World". His solos in the songs "The Number of the Beast", "Revelations" or "Powerslave" are among the top musicians.

He has also starred in Urchin, The Entire Population of Hackney, The Untouchables and Psycho Motel. Urchin was the name of his first band, which he founded along with another later Iron Maiden member Dave Murray.

From 1997 to 1999, he played on Bruce Dickinson's solo albums.

Adrian has a Nathalie wife and three children.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something about Adrian Smith from my perspective.

AP: "Adrian Smith is a typical team player. Even if he himself would not claim it. In my opinion, Adrian is always very good at joining live shows. He adds where something is missing. And Adrian's a great addition.

He's a great collaborator. He likes to work in a friendship. He never wants to do other things alone. But in common.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Janick Gers

Active: 1990–present

Instruments: lead and rhythm guitars

Release contributions: all Iron Maiden releases from No Prayer for the Dying (1990) to present

Upon Smith's departure from Iron Maiden in 1990, Gers, who was then a member of Dickinson's solo outfit, was asked to learn some of the band's songs for an audition held three days later, during which he was instantly hired. When Smith returned to Iron Maiden in 1999, Harris insisted that Gers remained in the group, creating their current three-guitar lineup.

Janick Robert Gers (January 27, 1957, Hartlepool, United Kingdom) is an English guitarist, a member of the English band Iron Maiden. His father Boleslaw was an officer in the Polish army.

His favourite guitar model is the Fender Stratocaster, usually black and white or white. He also played in the song White Spirit by the band of the same name and also on Deep Purple's Ian Gillan albums. Since 1990 he has been an active member of Iron Maiden.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My view at Janick Gers ...

AP: "Janick Gers is a friendly and communicative person. I could say he's the second most doubtful member on stage. The first could be Bruce. Janick is also able to doubt on the stage very quickly during live tours.

If they weren't in the band. So Janick and Bruce could also teach physical education today. Because they are always in good shape. Janick also has a good heart. She tries to be a good and willing celebrity. No problem signing everything. For example, a collection, a shirt, a card, a photo, a guitar, and so on ... That means he does his job in-band Iron Maiden on 100%."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bruce Dickinson

Active: 1981–1993, 1999–presentInstruments: lead vocals, piano (2015)Release contributions: all Iron Maiden releases from The Number of the Beast (1982) to Raising Hell (1994), then from Brave New World (2000) to presentHaving admired the band from afar after first seeing them perform in 1980, Dickinson agreed to leave his band Samson to audition for Iron Maiden in September 1981 and was immediately hired. In 1993, after much deliberation, Dickinson decided to leave the band to focus on his solo career. Following a gap of six years, during which he released four solo albums, the band's manager, Rod Smallwood, convinced Dickinson to rejoin the band in January 1999.

Bruce Dickinson (August 7, 1958, Worksop, Nottinghamshire) is a British singer, songwriter, musician, airline pilot, entrepreneur. He is the lead singer of the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden and is known for his wide range of opera vocal style and energy scene.

He was born in Worksope, Nottinghamshire. Dickinson began his career in music, dedicated to small pub bands in the 1970s when he attended school at Sheffield and the University of London. In 1979 he joined a new wave of British heavy metal band Samson, with which he gained some popularity under the name Bruce Bruce and performed on two studio recordings. He left Samson in 1981 to join Iron Maiden, replacing Paul Di'Anno, and debuting on their album The Number of the Beast (1982). During their first tenure in the band, they released a series of platinum and gold albums in the US and the UK in the 1980s.

Dickinson left Iron Maiden in 1993 (replaced by Blaze Bayley) to pursue a solo career that saw him experimenting with a wide range of heavy metal and rock styles. He returned to the band in 1999 with guitarist Adrian Smith, with whom he released five more studio albums. Since returning to Iron Maiden, he released another solo record in 2005 - Tyranny of Souls. His younger cousin Rob Dickinson is a former singer of British alternative rock band Catherine Wheel, while his son Austin faced metalcore band Rise to Remain.

Outside his career in music, Dickinson is known for his wide range of other activities. He was most devoted to his career as a commercial pilot at Astraeus Airlines, leading to many media events, such as the captains of the Iron Maiden rebuilt Ed Force One charter aircraft during their world tours. Following the closure of Astraeus, he created his own flight and pilot training company Cardiff Aviation in 2012. Dickinson introduced his own radio show on BBC Radio 6 Music from 2002 to 2010 and also hosted TV documentaries, novel writers and screenplays, created the successful Robinsons Brewery and competed internationally in fencing.

According to the All Music Guide website, Dickinson is the most important singer of the British heavy metal era of the 1980s.

How do I see Bruce Dickinson ?.

AP: "Yes, of course. It's my singing idol. Bruce is also a good motivation man. He is also more versatile. He has done many different things outside of Iron Maiden.

He experimented with different genres. Which brought him good fruit. He can sing almost everything. He has a greater reach of his voice. He is the most sporter man on stage. He runs and jumps around or on stage during live performances.

He is also a great fighter. He has a lion's heart. He defeated tongue cancer. And he kicked her ass.

He is always very aware of what he says in the press. It may sound different from people. Some will accept it well and others will not.

But you know it, 100 people and 100 tastes. I did not always believe in newspapers and the press. So what Bruce ever said. I never took it seriously. But I only took it easy and sometimes with humour. Bruce is an extraordinary person and can also be a jewel on the music scene. Such people are only born for many years..."

Bruce is also great because he always tries to keep his eyes in touch with fans during the concert. At the first big live performance in Rio, he said: Bruce: "There's someone!" ... And I think it was a great reaction. (laugh).

Scream for me, Brazil! Bruce Dickinson sheds blood in front of 300.000 amazed spectators.

Steve Harris: “Yes, I often come up with some new songs I wrote myself - because that's my life. But I always try to encourage everyone to come up with something new. It would be very selfish to write everything all by myself. And having people like Paul Di'Anno and Adrian here in the past ... all of this helped the band musically direct and achieve real success together".
